The OHS Unified Sports team has made an "Inclusion Starts With I" video and has challenged every school in Connecticut to do the same. Laura Congiu spearheaded the production of the video with help from Olivia Harper. James Miller, Nate Riemer, Morgan Hines and Frances Gilbert also contributed to its production..
Each day will be a Period 1-8 day the week of Feb. 20-22.
Congratulations to Olivia Lombardi on winning the Class S indoor track gold medal in the high jump Feb. 7. She won the title by clearing a height of 5 feet.
Anna Gramlich won the balance beam with a score of 8.8 to lead OHS to a second-place finish in the team standings at the SWC Gymnastics Championships on Feb. 7. She also finished fourth in the all-around with a score of 33.2.
Winter Spirit Week will be celebrated the week of Feb. 11. Students are encouraged to dress up a different way each day:
Friday, Feb. 15 -- Wolverine Friday (Winter sports pep rally day)

The OHS debate team had four students qualify for the upcoming state competition. Qualifiers include Jack Abbott (in the photo with Mr. Pecka), Gabriella Franchi, Madeline Haefel and Ohm Patel.

Applications are now being accepted for the Rowland R. Strong and Edith H. Strong Memorial Scholarship. This four-year scholarship is renewable for up to three more consecutive years. Specific award amounts will be announced at a later date. At least two 4-year scholarships will be awarded to Oxford residents in their senior year of high school who are able to demonstrate financial need, are planning on attending a four-year school as a full-time student and have a minimum GPA of 79.5. SAT Bootcamp is returning to OHS on March 23 and 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. Registration is online at www.bulldogtutors.com/oxfordhs or by filling out this flyer. The deadline to register is March 11.
The Mr. Oxford competition has been postponed until April 5.
